there's just something that other trauma romance authors CANNOT capture in their books but Carian does, the the 0 desensitivity in Holly's story, the vulnerability, the hope and love so much fucking love. Tyler is probably one of my favourite book boyfriends now 'cause man he loved her and when he said "This lost girl with the stormy eyes has become my caffeine, my morphine, my new drug of choice" or "I can almost believe this girl could love me, scars, damage, ugliness and all. And oh, how ferociously I would love her back if given the chance" after she came to his house a couple of times is when I KNEW.
Ty's story is equally devastating the way the town made him into a pariah after the incident was just sad and finding out his and holly past is darkly entertwined was a shock but nonetheless this is a brutal story of two people who know darkness and pain half their lives, trying to find the light together.
5⭐...♥️♥️♥️... good read but very sad😥... I'd rather he molested the child and killed her after rather than to live a lifetime of suffering.
Heartbreaking but beautiful book. I loved Tyler, he was very sweet.
