I came to Lahoma Springs to design a luxury store. That’s it. In, out, and back to New York. What I didn’t expect? A town-wide protest against me, a hotel owner who acts like she runs the mafia, or getting drunk off the world’s strongest Manhattans and waking up in a stranger’s farmhouse.

Okay, not a total stranger. Ashton Elliot is tall, built like a cowboy god, and the first person in this manure-scented town who didn’t treat me like human garbage. Too bad he went cold the moment he found out who I worked for.

And did I mention he has a kid? Yeah. Cute, sure. But I don’t do kids.

I should’ve left her at the bar. Hell, I should’ve let her fall in those ridiculous heels. Jordy Gallo is everything I should avoid: flashy, big city, and part of the deal that took The Till out of my hands and sold it to corporate America. But then she threw up on her shoes, paid for the entire restaurant’s dinner, and crashed face-first into my life.

Now she’s sleeping in my deadbeat ex’s bedroom, stealing my attention, and making this whole town ten times more complicated. I’ve got enough on my plate running the farm and raising my daughter. The last thing I need is a woman who makes my heart race every time she looks at me like I’m the problem.

But the worst part? I don’t want her to leave.
