While it had promise, the story was too short and went way too fast. After three years of separation, all because Adrian didn't do the investigative work any smart executive SHOULD and WOULD have done in his shoes, Jessie gave in much too easily. She started out strong, stood her ground, and didn't let him bully her, but the very next day (?!), they were all happy-go-lucky and let's-forget-the past?! Really? She needed to let him grovel more...sh*t, she needed to LET HIM GROVEL. PERIOD! First, once he had learned he was a father, he was determined to get full custody of the child, regardless of how good/bad a mother Jessie might be. Second, after meeting his son, his attorney wrote up a custody agreement with a "passage that denoted his right to shared custody with the assertion to remove Michael into his care should he perceive probable cause...", which mean he'd be watching for her to screw up at some point with the intent to remove the child permanently from her custody. Then he "debated if he should allow Jessie privacy to read the document or sit with her to diffuse her certain ire." Wait? What?! He wanted to distract her from reading the contract so that she'd sign it, thus agreeing to HIS terms only?! Seriously?! What an A$$H-LE!! Once he knew the truth about what happened to break them up three years before, he was ready to admit to still loving her, and even though he admitted to being an idiot and could "face his mistakes and try to correct them", and he DID apologize, that apology was very short-lived and self-effacing. As soon as she told him he had wrecked her, he turned it around and said, "I wrecked ME.", thus making it all about him and somewhat overlooking what he did to HER and her son. He was more concerned about how HE looked than what kind of damage he had done to HER. This was just so messed up.
