A good day can take a turn for the worse in the blink of an eye.

One minute, I’m boxing up a dozen of my best-selling chocolate chip cookies, and the next, I’m trapped beneath a car that crashed straight through my bakery.
It’s just my luck that the first person on the scene is the tall, brooding paramedic who happens to be my newest regular customer. The same man I’ve been secretly crushing on even though I can’t quite figure him out.
In a whirlwind of a day, I find myself letting him take me home and asking him to stay. What I don’t count on is for him to hold me the way he does when I launch myself into his arms. Everything changes with one kiss, and there’s no turning back now.
I try to tell myself this is a one-night thing. Wishing for more has the potential of blowing up in my face, or does it? After all, a hot save leads to a hotter night!
