But there she is all the time. Popping up, watching me, smiling and bouncy. I just want to be alone right now. But she refuses to walk away and it’s really ticking me off. Until she stops coming around.

I write bigger than life alpha males. My paranormal series is just starting to take off but I’m fighting my first bout of doubt and writer’s block. Which is why my friend insisted I take this vacation. A retreat to find myself and my character’s voice.

What I actually found was Lance. A grumpy, growly, oh-so delicious man that is begging to be immortalized. My inner muse is all over him. My whole body tingles every time he’s near but no matter what I do I can’t seem to break through to him.

He’s perfect for Leo, my lion shifter hero. I’ve finally found his story but now something else is breaking my concentration. There’s something hiding out there in the dark outside my little bungalow and I don’t feel safe anymore.

I need a hero of my own and I’m not sure that just writing him is going to work this time.
