Wray by M.K. Eidem
Emperor Wray Vasteri was the ruler of the Tornian Empire. His House has ruled the Empire ever since the great infection, which struck over five hundred years ago and he feared he would be the last. The number of compatible females was dwindling faster than anyone knew. If they could not find compatible females soon, their entire civilization would cease to exist. It was the reason he agreed to meet with Liron, the Emperor of the Kaliszian Empire in Kaliszian space. It was the only reason they had crossed paths with a Ganglian ship leaving Tornian space, and it was the only reason that the small female was discovered. Could she be what they had been searching for?
Wray found himself drawn to the small female he’d found beaten and abused on the Ganglian ship. She resembled a Tornian female, but was much smaller. Could she be what he had been searching for?
Kim Teel has had a hard life, at least she thought she had, until her parents were suddenly killed and then her sister and brother in law disappeared. At nineteen, she realized she’d been protected from all of life’s hardships. She had been cared for and loved her entire life had come to expect it. She was terribly spoiled. Determined to change her ways, Kim went looking for her sister, only to be captured by the Ganglians and it was then she learned what happened to the ‘unprotected’ females of the universe.
Wray and Kim are both doing the same thing, trying to survive. But what they find is that there are more important things than just survival. And once they learn that, the universe changes forever.

Yeah, this ... is truly messed up. I liked another in the series, ignoring the brutal rape and torture that I feel is entirely unnecessary. Well, unless the author has these females end up with these males through manipulation and desperation. I view the authors as the "gods" of their stories. So, this goddess, to me, is the author, in this one. I find her to be a sick, twisted mess. Anyway, the Male Lead is a piece of garbage. He did try to manipulate her into thinking the females on his planet were just spoiled cold gold diggers with nothing to fear from the males. These females have everything to fear from them and do what they must to survive! He forced the FL to go to a planet where he was in charge, yet any male can legally rape her. Which is the first thing they tried to do. They look down on any female not of their own species, they think of them as existing to be used by them however they want. They may not get off on hurting others like her original brutal rapists, but they made it clear they will beat her immediately if any female resits and will immediately jump on and share any female they come across. They are no better, yet the ML forces her to live unprotected amongst them. His whole thing he repeats about, 'I will protect her with my life'... I call BS. He is going to be way to busy, plus they've all made it clear she isn't even viewed as a person on their world. The decent males on that planet should move, but this species is too far gone to save. I've read a few stories where they are dying out because they should. This is one of them. Also, this "goddess" punishing an entire planet for what one person did is absolutely absurd. It shows how absurd the author is. It's not probably the main species' fault they got like this, but the goddess putting the FL thru all of that and then wanting her, and a handful of other brutally raped women (the goddess' choice) to fix this planet ... I'd tell her to clean up her own mess. And f u for putting me through all of that and then expecting me to help a planet of men who are way to far gone to help! If you want to read one of these, don't read this one.
