Guys in reality (I'm responding to the people below; haven't read the book yet) This isn't really supposed to be the next book in the series. It's called book 8.5 for a reason. Shannon actually finished writing this way before it came out. But editing and publishing take FOREVER so... also this was basically supposed to be a deeper dive into the world of the lost cities, and I hear the cliffhanger is really bad... (like worse than legacy BAD... eek) so basically this is more of a continuation than a book. Can't wait for book 9!

I thought Unlocked was going to be the next book in the series! This is definitely not what I thought it would be. I mean why would Shannon Messenger just spend all of her time working on this instead of telling us the rest of what happened in Legacy!!!! (I'm not going to say anything....because I don't want to spoil it for others) :)
i cant see anything past the dedication and it's actually really annoying

thats true. also i got the real book for christmas (we celebrated early because of distance) and it is actually really long. also i think shannon got possessed for her to end the book like that. i've read it like, five times.
Because it takes time to come up with all the information in the book, come up with the portraits and sketching them and perfecting them, come up with ideas for the novella, write rough drafts, perfecting the final draft, edit everything to perfection, and designing and perfecting the cover.
Though the sad thing is, whatever that happened at the ending, (I finished it so Ik what I'm talking about) it honestly was the right thing to do. Even if it wants me to start screaming or whatever. Ughhh-
i just finished the book. Guys, I'm going to warn you right now, this ending made me cry. Not sad tears though. Like "WHY WHY WHY," with angry tears. Only like, a couple of tears though. I'm talking about the novella part btw, but seriously. I honestly don't know what to feel. Oh, and, I'm 100000% you will all hate the ending.

The book is taking a very long time to load for me -.-
Don't simply stay on the tab and wait for it to load if your waiting for the literal cover to load. What I did was I X-ed it out and re-opened it. I wouldn't recommend doing this when you're around the middle or when you're ACTUALLY reading. Just go back to the page you were reading, and go forward again. It should load.
no, the full book is here. This is a novella, which is a long story, but still is short. A novella is like a large chapter, without any separations. And it's WAY shorter because more than 2/3 of the book is activities, unregistered files, and art. Only 236 pages of the book are the real story/ novella. You need to let it load, trust me, I'm literally reading it right now, and it works.
But the pages constantly take time to load when I finish the previous page. So if that happens to you, I suggest going back to that page that works, then go forward again. It should appear and you would be able to continue reading. Either way, if the cover or beginning takes a while to load, X- the tab out and re-open it. It'll work then, trust me. But when you continue to get closer to the middle, don't X out. Just go back to the page and go forward again like I said before. The more you do that, the faster it loads.
15-20 minutes. It probably depends on how stable your Wifi is. But I'm reading it right know, so it does work.
How long did it take to load
It says on google that Unlocked is 107 chapters and on here it is only 16. So maybe they didn't download the whole book?
That's why I'm waiting for the real book cause you never know...
