Chase Mutter is everyone’s favorite Mutter brother, and everything I don’t want in a man. He’s a charmer, a jester, a prankster to the core. And he just played his cruelest trick on me. I should hate him for it. But I still want him, and that makes me the fool.

No matter how hard I work to create something good for myself, the universe says nope, and pushes me back down.
I never expected one of the Mutter brothers to add to my struggles. We’re from the same side of the tracks so to speak. I’m no stranger to parental abandonment and neglect. My pain is not unlike theirs.
I should’ve seen it, the subtle differences in his sexy smile and the twinkle in his eyes. But he charmed me when he played his guitar in the sun without giving a damn who heard it. His voice and better-than-average finger dexterity was all it took. And I was a goner.
He wasn’t supposed to hurt me though. He was supposed to love me, show me how good life could be with the right person.
But that all blew up in my face when he turned out to be the wrong twin.
Lie to me once, and maybe I’ll forgive you. Lie to me twice, and you better be prepared for battle. I just declared war with Chase Mutter.
And yet I still find myself on a collision course with love.
