Billionaire Franklin Darwell is the antithesis of his family name. He is neither charming nor cordial, and takes any opportunity he can to get away from the pressures of society. He counts himself lucky when a new friend introduces him to Pamela Livingston in one of his favorite vacation spots. Just as sharp-tongued and quick-witted as he is, she provides a welcome distraction from the pomp and circumstance he’s forced to live.

Pamela, however, wants little to with the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Though she can’t deny she’s drawn to Franklin, his lifestyle intimidates her. Only when he offers her the trip of a lifetime – and a chance to reclaim part of her past – does she accept. Everything seems to be perfect as they realize that they can’t keep their hands off each other.

However, little does Pam know that the trip will test the limits of her courage as there is something that neither she nor Franklin could have ever foreseen. Unknowingly, the Darwell family created many enemies and there is a killer waiting to find the right moment to kill Franklin… it turns out that the trip provided the opportunity for a perfect strike.

Will they discover who and why someone is trying to kill him? And most importantly, will they survive their killers’ planned attack?

This is good. The plot is very unexpected. I like the heroine's character and the Hero's character too. I was dumbfounded when I know who was the perpetrator behind all the attacks on both of them. Ngl, I kind of side-eyeing the Hero for being a bit a-hole ish to his family, like I know u like ur privacy but damn, they're your family... Thankfully his brother married Alice. But I understand why his outburst happened after all of that. I love how both of them can apologise and admit their faults and flaws at the end. Communication is important!
