It’s a spell. It has to be. She’s a witch after all. They have the power to manipulate nature and all things in it, including animals – like me. They cast spells on defenseless creatures, controlling them into doing their bidding.
They do so with no remorse, no regards for the lives they’re playing around with. Even the strongest shifters are powerless against the terrifying ability witches possess. They’re cruel, knobby-fingered, cackling malevolent beings that take what they want. Or so I thought, until I met Aspen.
I tried resisting her but it’s impossible. She’s sweet like sugar, an alluring seductress and I’m quickly wrapped around her soft, delicate fingers.
When it comes to Aspen, I lose all control. Which isn’t like me at all. So it must be a spell, right? One that I need to break free of.
