A love potion…
Charlotte Langley has always been the prudent middle sister, so her family is not surprised when she makes the safe choice and agrees to wed her childhood sweetheart. But when she finds herself under the weather and drinks a “healing” tonic, the potion provokes the most maddening desire…for someone other than her betrothed.

With the power…
Kingston’s rakehell ways are going to destroy him and he’s vowed to change. His stepbrother’s remote estate is just the place for a reformed rogue to hide. The last thing he wants is to be surrounded by society, but when he gets stuck alone with a wallflower who is already betrothed… and she astonishes him with a fiery kiss, he forgets all about hiding.

To alter two destinies.
Although Charlotte appears meek, Kingston soon discovers there’s a vixen inside, yearning to break free. Unable to forget their illicit moment of passion, Kingston vows to relive the encounter, but Charlotte has sworn it will never happen again—no matter how earth-shattering it was. But will a devilish rogue tempt her to risk everything for a chance at true love?

The Virgin and the Rogue, Book 6 of The Rogue Files series, was about Charlotte Langley, the second oldest of the three Langley sisters, also known as the prudent sister, and Samuel "Sam" Kingston, the stepbrother of the Duke of Warrington (Nate was also Charlotte's brother-in-law), who had chosen to visit the Duke with the intention of changing his "rakehell ways". Charlotte, upon feeling not well before a dinner party they were to have with her betrothed and his family, drank a tonic her sister Nora had given her hoping it would make her feel better. Kingston arrived not long before the dinner began. After meeting everyone, Kingston had changed his mind about staying for an extended period of time, as he had already begun to feel bored. After dinner, Charlotte went to bed, still feeling poorly. Instead of the tonic making her feel better, it had actually heightened her sexual desires...for Kingston and not her fiancee. Charlotte's sister, Nora, pissed me off. While she was considered a botanist/herbalist, she had very little concern about using people as test subjects for her experiments. Nora was determined for her to try the tonic again to see if it actually had acted as an aphrodisiac, but Charlotte was adamant she wouldn't drink another serving of it. So, Nora tried to trick her into taking some more in her chocolate. The chemistry and passion between Charlotte and Kingston were both sizzling hot. The drama, angst, and humor were off the charts, as were confusion, sadness, anger, and resentment. In fact, the gamut was run completely. This book definitely earned a 5-star rating and a place with the other Keeper for the Shelves collection.
