Honestly i have really mixed feelings about this book. I hate how cillian keeps putting up boundaries amd persy just dosent respect them like its just my opinion i liked the smut but the disrespecting boundaries was not for me and also going after a man who is clearly not interested in u yet u still going after him kinda sad and she was also trying to force him into personal intimacy just the vibe i got from this, cillian was also mean but i mean he kinda did have the choice to back out but at the same time he didnt
Finished and omg!..😭😭🤧🤧🤧❤️❤️❤️ I have to read about Sam And Devon but this is the best story so far. It was dark, beautiful, sad and just amazing. I loved both characters, I nothing to nitpick... you best believe I'm gonna be back here in a few weeks to read again.
Just finished chp11 and Cillian is just adorable 🤣🤣❤️ He's so damn grumpy, arrogant and an asshole but it's freaking adorable.😭 I know for sure He's gonna do and say some fucked up shit in the future that break Persy's heart but for now im just gonna enjoy him and all his adorable grumpiness. 😂
LOVED IT! Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but I enjoyed it thoroughly. His POV and the description of his "nonfeeling" feelings trough out and how much it bothers him where funny in a "I fell for u man" way. Recommend the read!
I read this book a second time. This is the kind of book that makes you wanna pull your hair out. I don't know why I liked it, but there's just something about it that pulls me back in. I guess all my mommy/daddy issues are showing....? GAH! Cillian is a powerful man. I like powerful men. He's also mean, and I like mean. So I think it just depends on the reader.
One thing about LJ Shen is that she puts your heart in a meatgrinder. Like in most of her books she makes the main characters have seggs with other people and then makes you read every. single. detail. like WHYYYY?? this is too painful to read. either make it be in the past or don't write it at all. or if the character is a virgin, it is absolutely a crime to make them give it to someone other than the love interest. if you are so against the idea of virginity or believe it is outdated, then make them lose it in the past and don't kill us (emotionally). it is too hard to read. UGH.
Anyways, this is my personal opinion.

I love L.J,s books… but I definitely found this one lacking 🤷🏻♀️ It’s just hard to read emotional abuse and pass it off that one day BAMMM he has always been in love with her? It’s beautifully written (as are all her books) but I didn’t fall for any of the characters as much as I did with the hotholes… and I loved Hunter and Sailor ❤️💙 this one came up short for me? 6/10
The writing is great. The humor is awesome. The characters’ personalities are not ridiculously exaggerated. It’s just that the guy is a bit too mean sometimes. But he’s quick witted and has a unique personality. It would have been great if they had more sweet moments. Well, as sweet as Cillian could be.💀

i didn't expect to find this book so mesmerizing. This is really worth the read, minus the age gap. This book kinds open my eyes to a man's turmoil when it comes to a woman.
believe the title of the book. it really is a about a villain but the story is too good. i absolutely loved it. its worth the read.
To add... The characters lives do fast forward a few years at the end to wrap up their stories but I still am not a fan of their romances starting out when the girl is but a teenager. 18,19 to me is barely out of high school.
It looks like this is either a book you love or a book you don't care for. I, unfortunately, am of the latter opinion. I wanted to like this one because I like villains redeeming themselves but I couldn't like this one. I'm first, not a fan of young teenage girls being the main characters. It's one of my pet peeves with these kinds of books. A main female character doesn't have to be under 20 to be innocent, pure or inexperienced. I wish they were just a little older so it makes it less weird... For me anyways. I found myself skipping chapters or fast forwarding on the story. The ending was cute enough but I like the brothers stories better.

Definitely one of the best. Disappointed by The Hunter, i wasn'twaiting much from the second book. But it has changed my mind. Even Hunter here is presented better) highly recommended

I have to say I enjoyed this story. I can't imagine dealing with someone like Cillian though. All of the things he said and did to her were way over the top horrible. I get the idea of wanting to save someone, but where are the boundaries here? Of course I could go down the list, but if you've read this then you get it. I mean, she could have gotten killed at one point because of his Satan attitude. Somehow he loved her the entire time though? I think the author could have made his attitude way less bold. In my opinion, Cillian was abusive to everyone around him. This story is saying it's ok to be with someone who lashes out and says the worst things imaginable while making you his baby factory. The excuse is his troubled past and his "conditions?" I don't know. The more I write here the more I feel this story condoned verbal abuse and hooking yourself off. On so many levels, this story went too far. The author could have had him pushing her away in a much less severe manner.

I love LJ Shen and i was waiting for this book like everyone.... and I actually bought a hard copy because i trusted LJ.... Did she live upto the expectation??? God no. I feel she has the same plot for every single book. Bully the female lead and make your way to her heart. Yes, i do love that trope...but i feel its becoming regular and same and stretched. I did not like the book at all. But if you liked the book good for you. I still have the hard copy and luckily one of my friend loved the book so i gave it to her. Lol!! Anyway as many of you should know that LJ is accused of being a bully... is it true?? i am truly confused... i am not jumping into conclusion as of now. i am waiting for LJ to make a comment on this topic.
