Nice story with both Lyle and Izzy building their relationship to make it work with both their demanding lives. The are a number of sub plots that filter throughout which can be distracting with Lyle being pushed out of his company, Izzy looking for her Mother’s journals and the mystery the journals uncover. Even though the details of all the journals are not revealed in this book you need to read the next book to find out more. Simple romance with a little angst from Izzy trying to have her dreams and life with Lyle. Mystery behind Lyle’s family is touched on but not closed our with enough detail. This book is part of a series and can be read as a stand-alone but best to read all the books. Rockwells are a quirky family and had some nice Christmas fun added as well for some light humour.
