The Christmas Entanglement by Kat Obie
It’s easy to hate someone when you think they’re a selfish a**hole. It’s much harder once you learn they have a heart of gold.
PK is going through a quarter-life crisis.
Thanks to an injury sidelining him most of last season, nobody in the NHL wanted to sign him to a new deal, and he saw the writing on the wall too late. He needed something to occupy his time, so he turned to playing the drums, much to the chagrin of his incredibly sexy, curvy neighbor.
All Clarissa wants when she’s home in Texas is a little peace and quiet and time to hang with friends. Too bad her sexy, next-door neighbor seems dead set on disturbing her every opportunity he gets.
Bad first impressions take a backseat and holiday magic happens when the unlikely duo start to foster a puppy together.

ok, hmm. While I love that the curvy girl got the hunk and an adorable puppy was involved.. there was an element to the story that just made it feel a little superficial. Not sure what exactly, maybe her always being the snarky uncompromising one? or the cliché of a professional athlete? It was a good story over all.
