I’ve spent most of my adult life behind bars. Even when I was released, I was too dangerous to be out in the world, and I found myself back inside within weeks.

When I was given my freedom back for good, all I wanted was to build a relationship with my daughter, and nothing—or anyone—was going to stand in my way.
That is, until the Star Gazers need my help. My brother created the spawn of Satan, and when a young woman needed protection because of my own flesh and blood, it was only right that I step up and take control.

However, there were a few problems.
1. This woman does things to me that no other woman has ever come close to.
2. She is nearly the same age as my daughter, and she lives with my daughter’s best friend.
3. She’s a Star Gazer, and so is her overprotective brother.
4. She drives me to distraction. It’s so bad that I forget who I am and what I’m supposed to be doing.
Do I need to go on?
This is a recipe for disaster.
I need to keep my head in the game.
I need to not succumb to my intense need to drag her into the nearest closet and . . . well, I suppose you can guess.
And before I can stop myself, I’ve fallen in too deeply. The only way to save her from me is to break her heart and hope she will one day forgive me for my sins.

But when history repeats itself, I have one job: I have to save her and her girls.
Will she ever understand why I had to let her go?
Will she continue to hate me forever?
