My Vampire Weekend by Shane Morton
Hudson- My vision showed me what awaited me on my vacation, and it wasn’t a fun and rollicking time. I’m a legal librarian, but I’ve had visions of the future since I was a child, and this was supposed to be a fun time with my best friend, Bennie. That went south on day one. A dead body found in the white sand along the California Coast was to be the beginning. That was bad enough! But what followed defied the laws of nature. I wasn’t sure who or what my hot next-door neighbor was – but I knew he wasn’t human. But I couldn’t stop myself. I was drawn to him and knew he felt the same way. But would our infatuation be the end of both of us?
Florent- The hot nerdy neighbor had found the body, and it was upsetting. Drained of blood… It hadn’t been the first to be found in Boggy Bay, which meant Armie and I weren’t here alone. The vampire world had learned to hide itself so we could survive in a world that had caught up to us in almost every way. Humans now had many weapons that could destroy us way too easily. But… I had been stuck in the mire of my eternity for too long. But Hudson drew me to him. A seer? It would be best if I left him alone. Our secret was never kind to the humans we became infatuated with. But I couldn’t escape the pull of him. My feelings were too strong. However, I didn’t know my love would put him in danger. My past had returned.
