Mr. West by Xyla Turner
Dakota was a finalist on the Invest in the Best television show and she could nearly clutch the victory in her grasp. Except one judge blocked her way to success with his callous and arrogant — ‘No’.
After giving him some choice words, everything that Dakota knew as life, changed.
Years later, she runs into that same judge and cannot believe he has the dirty nerve to speak. Her life had completely shifted since the last time they saw each other, but that did not erase her hatred for the man.
No.
If anything, it made it worse.

Good story. However, Xyla jumped the shark on the kid's maturity and language. Too much and ridiculous.
Good storyteller but her books aren't for me. I do like that she writes mostly WM/BM books but her males tend to be rude and condescending telling the women 'this is who you are' fuck that. Who wants to sleep with a man that speaks to you like you're an idiot? She portrays her female characters as strong women but they pretty much meander along helplessly until a man steps in to make every thing right for them.
