He left me. Again. And this time I’m stuck.

Why is there something about Ryder that I can’t resist, no matter how hard I try? He’s a monster, and yes, I know everyone says that about their ex-husband, but in this case it’s true. So, I shouldn’t be surprised that he’s trapped me in a tower with a bunch of satyrs “for my own protection”. I want my old life back, and I’m going to get there, even if I am a banshee.
Now I’m the harbinger of death with demons out to kill me and an errant ex-husband who professes he only has my interests at heart.
Never mind that he needs to save the world also. I want to help, but I know nothing of this world and the closer we get to finding out the real source of the monster infiltration, the more it looks like it’s Ryder’s own family trying to destroy the world.
Even if he doesn’t want me, I need to stand by his side as his world falls apart.
