Midnight Rapture by Anya Summers
Rescued by a hot, kilt-wearing Scot…
Freya’s on the run from her abusive ex-boyfriend. She’s exhausted and terrified, but if she stops, she knows he’ll find her – and their infant daughter – and make her pay. Desperation drives her to do something she shouldn’t, that she knows is fundamentally wrong…
… and sure enough, she gets caught red-handed. All she can do is beg for mercy.
When Jasper catches the gorgeous new maid with her hand in his wallet, his first instinct is to call the police. But Freya’s tearful plea strikes a chord deep within him, and instead he finds himself offering her the protection of his name and family.

Wish she wouldn't of pussyfooted around them deciding if they were going to be in love for 28 chapters and only getting to the heart of the matter at the last chap. It would've been wonderful to see more BDSM and the dungeon room or club. Any honeymoon or going to Scotland. Damn anything she described in the 1st 28 chapters would've been better than drawing it out and then saying HEA with not even a epilogue. So another disappointment of a book. Anyas' been rushing through the endings lately I feel because she's writing other series 2-3 of them in fact while writing this one. She probably should've just stopped before #10, and it was truly a disappointment. So because of all these things 3.5/5 when it could've easily been 5/5 with at least a epilogue chapter instead of leaving me wanting more. Would've described more but didn't want to give the plot away which was a 5/5.
