Nessim Kader? Oh, he’d been hanging around Loch Ness for centuries. At first, it was a blast watching humans practically sprint on water, trying to evade the cryptic monster in the loch. The last half-century, though? Not as fun. Initially, people were terrified of him, but he was a sideshow these days. Sure, he’d never hurt a human who was, in essence, hunting him. Still, he couldn’t exactly sit back and let them discover him and potentially cause harm.
Working for the Shifter Council had given them both purpose. Nessim became a shrink, lending a listening ear to those who had experienced trauma. And Aban? He took to the sky, scouring the globe for those who aimed to profit off capturing others. The million-dollar question, though, was whether they could find love amongst their differences or were they doomed to fly and swim solo?
