Ugh...What happened here? I'm disappointed and rather confused after reading this disjointed story. 2 stars

First, I think the book is waaaay to long. It’s got 41 chapters plus the epilogue. The story doesn’t begin to open until chapter 34. At that point, everything just spills out in a rush. New characters and circumstances are at the heart of the story but we are just now getting a glimpse of who they are and the relationship they have with Theo and Gabriella.

There is a whole story opening up then but is told in a rush. I would have liked the majority of the story to have had these characters and back story as the theme of the story. As is was, the reading just goes on and on.

And then there’s Theo. What the hell was wrong with this dude? He had multiple opportunities to get crazy in the bedroom with Gabriella but didn’t. In fact, it was almost at the end of the story before they came together sexually. The entire time leading up to this Theo constantly repeated, NOT. YET. SOON. Over and over….Gahhhhh. WTF?

When Elise finally exposes her jealousy, Gabriella doesn’t seem to understand and dismisses the entire tirade and just argues with her about a lawsuit.

The final chapter reveals…sort of…what’s been going on but not in enough detail. I had an interest in that portion of the book. I wish there’d been more on that and not the boring chapters leading up to that. It appears there will be a follow-up but I don't believe I'll be reading it.
