Kulti by Mariana Zapata
“Trust me, I’ve wanted to punch you in the face a time or five.”
When the man you worshipped as a kid becomes your coach, it’s supposed to be the greatest thing in the world. Keywords: supposed to.
It didn’t take a week for twenty-seven-year-old Sal Casillas to wonder what she’d seen in the international soccer icon—why she’d ever had his posters on her wall, or ever envisioned marrying him and having super-playing soccer babies.
Sal had long ago gotten over the worst non-break-up in the history of imaginary relationships with a man that hadn’t known she’d existed. So she isn’t prepared for this version of Reiner Kulti who shows up to her team’s season: a quiet, reclusive, shadow of the explosive, passionate man he’d once been.
Nothing could have prepared her for the man she got to know.
Or the murderous urges he brought out in her.
“Sal, please don’t make me visit you in jail. Orange isn’t your color.”
This was going to be the longest season of her life.

If you love slow burn ❤️🔥, believe the hype about this one. I don't know why I put off reading this for so long. I loved her dad and OMG, the speech about destiny, destroyed me in the best way. This is for sure a definite reread. Now off to read everything I can find by this author, who is new to me.
I love everything about this book.. this is my 8th time reading it..
❤❤❤🔥
I loved everything about this book. Sassy FC, broody- silent MC, good friends, her dad (Lol), their scrimmage, everything was just perfect. Loved it👍❤️
one of my top 5 books. grumpy MCs just hit different. from lukov with love to kulti, the author is so beautiful with story and words. highly recommend this beautsssssssss.
HAPPY TEARS!!!! 100000000/10 recommend highly
This is hands down one of my absolute favourites.
I usually don’t go for slow-burns but oh my god!!!! This book is absolutely amazing, although some might get bored with all the soccer talk I didn’t mind it. The off balance series is similar to the sport equation of the story. 10/10 recommended
I love male MCs who are not very talkative in general but when they profess their love they put poets to shame. The amount of times i swoon when Rey says things where he sounds so sure of their love is borderline unhealthy. I especially loved how a friendship developed between Sal and Rey before anything else. I keep coming back to this book.
I'm reading this one for the fourth time now.....I don't know what that says 'bout me....
I love this book but there were so much unnecessary details. I felt so much in between when Sal doesn't speak up for her. The story was well written. I liked its storyline (a slow burn). Must read😃
"Anger in between"
y’all are not appreciating this enough
Yes!
omg I loved it
omg I loved it
this is soooooooooo good and compared to twowam which was my favourite this is just so much better for me. i loved them so much and their banter omggg. You have to read this and it’s a slow burn but it’s so worth it i promise. i just really love this author and her books❣️
Totally agree.
