Jordan would do anything to protect us. The thing was, I wanted to protect them too, even if it meant going behind Jordan’s back.
I wasn’t cut out for the mafia life, yet I lived with the most possessive boss of all.
For my family, I’d do anything. They were who mattered. Jordan and Vail were who I craved going home to at the end of the day.
So, I’d take whatever violence and revelations came my way. The alternative was giving them and this life up, and that was never going to happen.
