DNF Alice book was lame. Not interested in wasting my time with more
I read the first story and I was thouroughly disappointed because Alice's story is something too known to be rewritten exactly as the original. There are little changes to the plot from the movie here and there only when it comes to making beautiful men appear at the right time. I know the harem thing is usually related to writing good sex scenes and not really about romance and character development (with some rare exceptions), howecer, I really couldn't connect at all with the 4 men in this story and I needed that BASIC connection to actually feel invested and excited when they started having sex. It felt too rushed and the plot didn't have many original ideas, so I got bored in the first chapters.
Guys, I know I'm a real fan of Alice in Wonderland and therefore I will go harder on books about this specific topic, but this one book really pissed me off. I didn't feel Alice, I felt a very horny teenager —and yes, that can also be a part of Alice— but she also had a connection with her 4 kings that wasn't explored, powers that were thrown down out of nowhere with little preparation and a lack of focus. Is this book going to follow the storyline of the original to the end, defeating the heart queen (again, with little innovation), or is it going to focus on Alice's relationship while she does so? Because this feels like the author didn't choose, just copied and changed details fo add sex scenes.
If you're looking ONLY for the dopamine from watching very hot sex scenes, this might definitely be a good choice for you, though.
First 2-3 stories are by far the best, in my opinion. :)
Absolutely love this book!!! Each story is so different from the others, but so well-written and so very HOT!! Definitely for mature readers only! 😄
