I should have known that my actions would have consequences. I couldn’t have prepared for what was to come. I never expected this. I never expected them.
When I was 15 something happened that changed me forever; it turned my world upside down and made me the way I am now.
Broken. Scarred. Haunted.
I have to make up for what happened. But that makes me enemies.
The popular ones. The rich ones. The ones who think that they are better than everyone else just because of their money and power.
Bullies.
It’s cost me my place in every college I’ve been to so far, and it’s about to cost me this one.
I need to stay out of trouble. But trouble just has a way of finding me.
With a few bad choices I am now stuck with the people I hate and resent.
I have to now follow their rules or they will punish me for what I did.
I will submit to their torment. Give in to their blackmail. I might be keeping our little pact, but I’m not about to make it easy on them. They think that they can break me – but you can’t hurt someone who is already dead inside.
Or so I thought.
