"Since I’d confronted Stacy continued, " really needs an editor. Author wrote MIL like a cartoon villian---that kinda fits if its a rom com or wacky instalove story. you're trying to portray this as a deep romance between these weary souls, then you can't write your supporting cast like a disney step mother. It was these two emotionally wrought people falling for each other but everything was over the top---her ring being ridiculously undervalued, his extravagant gesture with the guitars...too many extremes.
