I’m Spencer Whitley, the CEO of a billion-dollar company.
But behind closed doors, I’m a clueless, single dad…
Between reading as many parenting books as I can and trying to get the little dude to sleep during the night, I can barely think about anything else.
But when I meet my neighbor, my mind begins to wander. Penny is gorgeous and an adorable klutz. After she takes a spill in front of my house, my protective instincts kick in.
As I bandage up her scrapes, all I want is to get to know her better. Then I watch her play with my son and my defenses start coming down.
Suddenly, I keep making up excuses to invite her over. We both have good reasons to be cautious. I want to focus on my son and be a good father. Penny needs a fresh start after a rough break-up. I can’t deny how much I want her, but is this a risk we want to take?

Ok but story felt flat to me. Writing style was stilted and didn’t flow. No chemistry between Spencer and Penny. Cute baby scenes but not enough to add value to the story. Annoying calling the grandparents grandfather and grandmother as it was too formal for the story. Crafty grandmother wasn’t really anything special with matchmaking seeing as the MCs were neighbours. Romance didn’t build just went straight into relationship even though both said they were not ready to get involved. Nothing special and no real drama with the exs to add any depth to the plot.
