Elf Against the Wall by Alina Jacobs
When you kiss your perfect boyfriend under the mistletoe…only for your cousin scream to the family that you stole her man, Christmas is OVER.
In my defense, I didn’t know my boss—yup, boss. Buckle up because this is messy—was my cousin’s newly minted and totally lying fiancé. I thought he was the Nutcracker Prince come to finally show my family that I, too, was worthy of putting the star atop the Christmas tree.
I was so wrong.
Now my entire family thinks I’m a ho ho ho.
I’m at the top of the naughty list, not in a fun Elf on the Shelf way, but rather in a snide-comments-at-brunch and sitting-at-the-kids’-table kinda way.
I have to clear my name, or Christmas is ruined. Again.
What better way than to blackmail my family’s number one sworn enemy?
Anderson Wynter is this desperate elf’s last hope. Six-foot-five, ethically challenged, with washboard abs and a death wish, Anderson is the perfect weapon to expose my ex and help me get back in my family’s good graces.
That is, until the weapon massively backfires… and no, not like that.

Granny Doyle is everything. Every line she says is amazing. The spice was great too!
I love this crazy family! Definitely a good read. The spice was up to my liking too! 🌶️🌶️
What a rollercoaster of a story. I love Alina Jacob’s book and always enjoy the crazy family sagas. This book was a repeat story line from previous books with much the same sibling and family rivalry and dysfunctional relationships. I hate how the female lead has low self worth and is treated like trash by the family but eventually grows a back bone and stands up for herself and then the grovelling starts. The crazy Murphy family certainly entertain and as there are a lot of them it’s hard to keep up. 60 chapters was a tad too long but there was plenty to fill with the crazy Christmas family get togethers. Anderson’s siblings always add colour and I am sure they will get their stories soon as will Evie’s brothers and cousins. The Grandmothers also add more of the crazy humour and in particular Grandma Doyle who is off her rocker batt shit crazy. HEA was sweet but a little anti-climatic and the epilogue led to a short story book that you will need to read when it comes out later. Some good laughs and hot scenes and spicy chemistry between Evie and Anderson. Would have liked a little more of who Evie is as she isn’t described much so you can’t picture the character and hard to judge her other than Evie being a doormat and everyone’s slave. Lots to keep you entertained.
Book 1 of the brothers pretty please?
