1 star and just for the type of smut, which was little
Not overly dark but some dark subjects. Little romance, or heat, or connection between the m/f leads. Female character is very sympathetic and her storyline is heartwrenching but its hard to stay interested when she's surrounded by unlikeable supporting characters and the story has a lot of odd twists. Since there's two preceeding books, maybe it helps to read those first.
