To outsiders we’re total opposites: she has a masters in psych and I’m a professional hockey player with a PhD in Shakespearean lit, but underneath it all we’ve found that we have a lot of shared interests and we just…fit.
But when my overachieving family interferes in my career, and puck bunnies and bloggers target our relationship, I have to wonder if our bond is stronger than any obstacle.
Add in the pressures of the NHL and the ever-looming question of whether I’m truly NHL material or simply the Romeo to her Juliet, Mona and I must fight to prove that we can overcome anything life throws our way.
