This is a part of my life I can’t share with her, one I don’t want to share with her, and one I hope to be relieved of soon.
Everyone lies to protect the ones they love. At least that’s what I tell myself.
But lies catch up with you—they always do.
It’s hard living the life I have, where death and mayhem defines a part of who I am. Then I found her, or should I say she found me. Cupid’s bow struck hard and before long, I knew I couldn’t be without her.
There’s just one thing. There’s a piece of me she’ll hate if she met him.
It’ll never stop me though—I’m determined now more than ever to change the path I detoured on long ago.
