Destiny and the Devil by Olivia Noble
His name is Douglas… but I call him the Devil.
Since I was young, I have loved my best friend Willow’s older brother. She doesn’t know how much he destroyed me years ago, when he took my virginity and left the country, never speaking to me again.
I wrote to him. I messaged him. But he completely ghosted me.
Now he’s back. For Willow’s wedding, which I am planning.
I’m avoiding him like the plague.
But this is a small town, and he’s trying to find me.
He wants to make amends, but I won’t let him. I won’t forgive, and I won’t forget.
I will not let my heart get broken again.
A best friend’s brother, BWWM romance.

Trash. She had her mother living in a tenement in Vermont. In Vermont. Please read the story, then let me know what you think. Thanks.
I read one of her older books when I first found this site and never read another by this author. Her characters never make any sense and her fmc were offensively dumb. Can't bring myself to read this book but chiming in to let you know I feel this completely
Who is this author? The stereotypes in a couple of sections were stunning and offensive. OMFG. Why? Why is this so necessary when they don't fit the narrative as described? It is two different stories. How does the author have a hospice nurse living in squalor? A hospice nurse? A hospice nurse in Vermont earns just about $75,000 annually. So, please tell me why this author would write this struggle story background that is introduced after introducing the character as best friends with a seriously wealthy family? How is that possible without any struggle moments? This author had an idea that came later that fell absolutely offensively flat. Read the story. You will see what I mean. The first half does not go together with the second half. I hate that they took me out of the story, it was really shaping up to be a great read.
