Another book in the series that I struggled with. Why the author chose to pair two people together who apparently don't get along is beyond me. I've never been one to like the enemies-to-lovers books because, quite honestly, I just don't see it being true to life. This book is no different. Sure, they had feelings for one another years ago that never got expressed to the other. Perhaps those feelings lasted all...no, not with all the animosity and the wrong assumptions the main male character had about the main female character. The two main characters fought like cats and dogs from the opening of the story. Seven chapters into the book, and the angst was leaping off each page. Angst? Let's call a spade a spade, okay? It was pure, unadulterated hostility. They were absolutely hostile with each other. That wasn't chemistry. How the author expected the reader to accept the 180-degree turnaround in their attitudes towards the other was just pure fantasy. Not much more I can say but that the whole book was a bit unbelievable from the beginning to the end. I'm not even going to try to review this one more as it was just nonsensical.
