Disappointed. Book 1 was far better than book 2. The entirety of this novel I was waiting for something exciting and thrilling to happen, but we only get information which does nothing to further the plot. The reason behind the betrayal made no sense. Nothing happened at all. I hate to say it, but it was so boring I wanted to gouge my eyeballs.

All in all, the book didn't suck. The only thing even remotely good about this novel was Taavin. Thank the Lord for that because honestly I would've given up on this book. Vi is not bad either but she has no spine whatsoever. Really disappointed. I liked her way more in book 1.

For now, I'm going to wait with Failed Future (even the title is cringe-worthy). I honestly have no idea if this spin-off series has any redeeming qualities for me to continue but I'm willing to give the third book a chance perhaps in the future.
