A One Man Job was about 42-year-old Joe, the local sheriff, and his two 19-year-old (twin?) stepdaughters, Charlie and Bella.

This was nothing but straight-up smut, and not necessarily the good kind either. Honestly, the story had no plotline, and there was no rhyme or reason. Joe had the hots for his two stepdaughters, and they felt the same about him. Having lost their mother (his late wife) around a year or so in the past, these three finally caved in their feelings for each other. Joe hadn't been married to their mom for long before she died.

Obviously, the author didn't put too much effort into this novella. The way the MMC talked like he had very little education was a dead giveaway for that fact. The two sisters weren't much better, although they behaved more like hooligans than 19-year-old adults was more than a little disappointing.

If I could get away with not rating this book at all, I'd do it. As it stands, I can't give it anything higher than one star. It just didn't earn it.

@ Jo Jo, yeah this definitely wasn't her usual writing style. I couldn't believe she had her name attached to this book. I mean...it was okay, but absolutely not what I'd excpect from this author.

I like Jessa and all her books since she's 'returned' have been flat and lackluster. I told someone else, it's like she's just putting out titles to finish a contract or something.

Didn't she make a big to do about how she was done writing? This book wasn't to my tastes, but nice to see her back, I guess.

Yeah, I also was surprised and like you, it wasn't all that interesting for me, not my Cup of Tea.
