“Prophecy always finds a way.”
The will of the fates has come to pass. Monsters swarm from the depths, while dragons soar overhead. And the throne of Islor lies vacant… but not for long.

Fleeing the merciless sirens, Tyree and Annika find themselves stranded on a distant shore. Forced together to survive, they find old magics and terrifying new enemies.
For Romeria and Zander, the long-held secrets of the casters’ magic reveal a chance to finally master the power that has held all their lives in the balance for too long. But with power comes betrayal. And sacrifices must be made.

First of all, 100 chapters!!! Are you kidding me? And I thought the last book was long. At this point, I was just too invested not to see it through. I’m not sure what’s worse—the sheer number of chapters or the constant POV switches. The multiple subplots kept breaking the flow for me, and it felt like too much was going on at once and thought i qas interest in all of them i wanted one at a time. The grand finale was honestly a bit underwhelming; I expected a lot more intensity from the final showdown when Malachi, Sophie, and Romy finally came face-to-face. This book was supposed to tie everything together, and while it did to an extent, it still left so many questions unanswered. I’m really hoping for a spin-off, novella, or at least some bonus chapters to fill in the gaps. I also wish we’d gotten more of Romy and Zander after the war, when things had settled. Overall, it’s a solid series that kept me entertained enough to push through (even if I skimmed a few chapters). But if I ever reread it, I’ll definitely need a lot of time—and I’ll be skipping quite a few chapters.
