Two authors. Obsessed with the idea of love. . .what could possibly go wrong?

Marisa
This should be a love story. Everything’s in place for it to be. The perfect lines, the perfect souls, but you see, Justin thinks it’s a game. He thinks I’m his pawn, but he couldn’t be more wrong. Every move he makes, I’ll block him. Every time he thinks he’s about to seize me, I’ll run. Some men underestimate the power of the queen because they’re too busy playing king. They forget she’s the most powerful piece on the board. And love is not a game I’m apt at losing.
What will it take for him to realize I’ll never be his pawn, but I’ll happily play his queen.

Justin
She wants a love story. And while I’ve set it up just like I do my stories, it’s not love I’m after, it’s the chase. Marisa thinks she can outplay me. Even though I’m always one step ahead of her, she keeps me on my toes, which is why I don’t underestimate her. Not one bit, but it seems she forgets the game’s not over until the king is dead.
And she’ll never kill me, because I’ll make her love me. And then. . .checkmate. I win.
Love is not a game, but the chase certainly is.

i loved the author's writing style. it was smooth & somehow it made me read itself. i really loved the expressions of emotions. she described them so well that i started to remember those feelings back when i felt them long ago.. although some of them were not accurate for me. she still made me feel those emotions as if i was the heroin herself and himself. but it was a tad unrealistic for me. //spoiler alert!!// i mean i was okay with all the murders but when she murdered amy i thought it was unnecessary. i mean there could be any other ways to deal with justin and her. but i found their idea of love and of eachother very endearng though its insane. literally madness.. but its their story so who am i to judge. if you wanna read sweet, vanilla romance then this is not the book for you. this is all about obssession and manipulations. (marisa literally manipulated herself. consciously. even tho i do it unconciously time to time lol.) and the fact that justin's epitome of pure insecurness. the attention whore. nonetheless im happy he had marisa to get him over that. all in all i loved their crazy ass love. but i have questions on my mind like why justin create a fake name himself? what about that??? what happened in the future about them? did marisa and he confront???
