Ok..I really want to see a sequel to this story!!! 💯💯💯 I never had any specifics or preferences with book genres I've chosen to read..I have enjoyed a wide variety of different ones..and I have to admit..I give this book 5☆!!!!! Carter is such a fuckin asshole..definitely has that typical young Dom/hardcore kink thing started..Which, in the high school I attended, that was the typical popular jock anyway 🤣🤣 I read quite a few of the 👍 and 👎 reviews both for this book..All I can say in regards to them is that everyone is entitled to their opinion. Thankfully this world is full of a wide variety of differences..tastes, cultures, skin colors, music preferences, hair, eye colors, heights, weights, young, old, etc!
i would label this as dark romance on the basis that it is a story that revolves around lack of consent and control and topics that are normally very sensitive in the real world. But this is fiction and though people have a hard time trying to separate reality from a made up story and letting morality impact their reactions, this is my cup of tea. This story is dark and beautiful because it changed something twisted to something loyal and true. I find people are easier to pass judgement and I really admire Zoey for giving Carter a chance and learning his truths. Needless to say what he did was simply wrong but when you read fiction you gotta understand the characters more and not just read it for what it is. Im not glamorizing a villain, I just enjoy reading fiction knowing when i read, the characters are in an entirely different realm where they dont to be heavily criticized by me. The reader. Story is fckn good!

I will say though, the smut is on the weak side, I was expecting more and I was expecting this to be super but after the 3rd chp things got a bit tame. I was hoping it would be as dark as "ORDER OF RAVENS AND WOLVES" but I get it, two different Authors and different visions.

Okay her trying to understand him on a "psychological level" is pretty cringe. I'm literally rolling my eyes anytime she gets all shrink like, like just stfu, reading shit on Google doesn't make you a psychologist..
Oh no! He's being nice😭😭and she's gonna fall for it, I bet you she's gonna be thinking about him a whole lot more than before and wonder what his actions mean, which is probably what he wants. He's making her get used to and feel comfortable with him being around her, lowering her defenses before he pounces😭😭... Idk maybe I'm wrong.
I'm a twisted fuck, just finished chp2 and I love it😭😭🤣... I read the reviews on good books before I came here and damn I'm hooked, Carter is such an asshole but I'm here for it. As a woman I know on a moral level this should be disgusting but I can't help myself😭😭😭 I love it..
Lord have mercy, this book is so bad I feel uncomfortable leaving an honest review. I'm all for dark romance and all that, have read plenty a lot darker but this book lacks essence, a plot and everything that basically adds to a story. Again, I'm so embarrassed for these characters that I can't even make an honest appraisal. The smut is at best underwhelming, the small psychological inserts are shallow and the "therapist" heroine is cringe worthy. This is solely my opinion and maybe at 25 I'm too old to be enjoying this type of plot.
Right!! There are no redeeming qualities, the FMC is dumb as a rock and there's no justification for it. Like what is your damage?!? If she had like a previous history of abuse, maybe, maybe her behavior would make more sense.

I thought I was gonna be reading cute enemies to lovers but this is gross. The male MC is literally a sexual predator. I don't understand how so many of these commenters enjoyed this book. He literally forced her to you know what. Gross.
Ok so it was good but really the rape portions were a little too much! I enjoyed the story it made sense but I really hope this doesn’t happen In reality

Got to chapter 4, couldn't stomach it. It was just too much for me. I'm sorry but she got on my nerve so bad, just lying back and taking it. And I'm betting she ends up falling in love with the sexual predator. 🙄

OMFG🤢the hell did I just read? girl has no backbone and uses the most ridiculous reasons to justify having a relationship with a sexual predator. The “hero” is the epitome of white male privilege and using sexual assault to assert dominance for their fragile bruised egos because the girl reported them for harassment? I gotta laugh 💀
