Let’s be real because love never was. Men sucked in my reality, especially a man named Shane Collins. He was my best friend’s brother, one who thought he was king of the world. I blamed the football in his hand.
And cue the eye roll.
With one guy cheating on me already, I called that enough male attention for one lifetime. If I needed to see a man loving a woman right, I’d just stick to seeing it in movies.
Aphrodite, a name an artist gave me when I stumbled into him. He was sweet and kind, but he thought I’d make the perfect model for his upcoming gallery. Aside from all of my insecurities raging to say no, I wasn’t sure I wanted to cross the line of his brush because I found him to be attractive.
For now, I’d lace up my slippers and keep my goals on track.
What could possibly go wrong?
Oh, I must’ve failed to mention Shane needed my help in cleaning up his act. One order of fake girlfriend coming right up. He was lucky I loved his sister.
