A Navy SEAL can survive anything. Except a broken heart…

Former Navy SEAL Gage Winters knows how to keep cool under pressure. But he’s out of his depths after a friend’s tragic death leaves him caring for orphaned twins. When Kylie, the babies’ stunningly beautiful aunt, offers to help, Gage is wary. Giving up his treasured solitude, and not giving in to the smoldering attraction he feels for Kylie, may be more of a challenge than he can handle…
Kylie doesn’t trust Gage, and wants custody of the twins… Until she sees how good he is with the babies. His gruff exterior hides a sweet, caring soul—not to mention a sexy, chiseled body. And when danger strikes, Gage becomes the ultimate protector.
But just as Kylie starts to believe they could be a real family, she discovers she’s the one putting them all in harm’s way. To keep Gage and the babies safe she’ll have to risk losing her new love.
And possibly her life, as well…

It was sweet. I just wish it was a bit longer and written in first person

Nice but felt rushed and underdeveloped. Cage taking care of his friend’s twins and having the twins aunt Kylie come into the picture to win custody was the tale. There wasn’t much of a custody battle and the story fell into co-parenting. Some drama with a hitman chasing Kylie to add some thrills but felt flat and lame. The whole story needed more depth and more character development. Cute twins but not enough in the story to be a winner. Typical HEA to round out the story.
