I don't understand (kiley)'s confusion, what's up with the years? "he leaves" scene 2 years pass "car bomb" scene 2 more years pass in the meantime the protagonist has been fertilized is not difficult to understand 🤨🙄😒

Did not finish. I have two questions about the opening of this book and they are: 1) why did the author contradict herself in the space of the first four words beginning chapter 2 and its second paragraph? The opening said, in italics, "Two years later" and yet the beginning of the second paragraph said, "Four years had passed." But then again a few paragraphs later, it went back to saying it had been two years. Then the beginning of chapter 3 opens with, words again in italics, "Two years later". 2) So, which was it...2 or 4 years? Make up your mind! As with other books I've read by Erin Snihur, this book tended to switch tenses frequently: "He said," to "he says", etc. Quite frustrating. Having had such a troubling time reading her works in the past, I chose not to finish the book or read the series. It wasn't worth the struggle to re-word her writings in my mind to be able to enjoy the book, so I just...didn't.
