Love may not be simple, well, or maybe it is…
Survivor’s guilt is what they call it. I don’t know about all of that, but I do know that every day is the same. I question the purpose of my existence until Captain Nyanna presents an offer too enticing to resist. An expedition with T’kali, an alien-dragon Zmaj warrior, to locate the elusive epis plant—an almost magical remedy for the blistering heat threatening humanity’s continued existence on Tajss.
The journey with the seven-foot-tall, muscular, and gorgeous alien starts smoothly, his charm proving surprisingly endearing. But as fate would have it, he’s seized by a hidden adversary, forcing me on the perilous path to save him.
I’m determined to reclaim what’s rightfully mine. T’kali might be in the clutches of our enemy, but they’ve taken more than his freedom—he’s my heart. Failure is not an option, and I’ll face unknown threats to rescue him and salvage the love that has ignited in the desert heat.

It's OK. Not one of the typical selfish, bitchy, stupid, ignorant, small-minded female leads. At least it wasn't excessively negative, but it was very simple. I didn't care for the sex, especially slapping or pain, and I do love when the guys are super attentive and considerate during, he wasn't one of those types at all. Oh, if he had 2, why did she not ever see it... especially when so close? Odd. I love reading stories heavy in his POV. His, like, only 3 ch's were very simple. He wasn't developed enough to be great or bad. But, he is an ex cult member and they were simple and weak minded. Don't know why she made them into ML's. Very bad choice. Anyway, if your looking for something not too dramatic or interesting, you may like. Good story to read before bed.
