A hard wind. Salt on his tongue. The endless night. Those are the things Poseidon wants to find as he climbs to the deck. He doesn’t expect to see a dehydrated young woman clinging to a red-and-white buoy.
He rescues her, but he’s no savior. She’s an heiress. Valuable if he holds her for ransom. And why wouldn’t he? He’s hunted treasure all his life.
Except once he’s had a taste of her, he’s not sure he can give her up.
A modern-day pirate with a dark past.
A fierce young woman with secrets of her own.
And the adventure of a lifetime.

The Pirate is the complete Devil trilogy in one volume.

1/5 in case that wasn't clear - could have been so much better with everything they'd been working up to for the first 20 or so chapters. Sad I wasted time reading this

starts out with much potential but then he becomes abusive. I physically felt sick trying to read the part where he whips her especially since he had just saved her from a gang r@pe. then the author just glosses over it and makes the mc seem almost annoying by 'holding a grudge against him' for what he did. Didn't bother to read past where he forces his shipmates to tie her naked to a pole and watch as he whips her...but skipped to the epilogue of the 3rd book and surprise surprise they are getting married and everything is great. Massive shame because i used to really like this author's work... disgusting to even think of that kind of domestic abuse and then normalise it with a happy ending. I would not recommend this be read by anyone. i love a toxic love relationship as much as the next person but he should be in jail.
