“Miss Reilly, we wanted to inform you that your brother Torin has been let out on parole. And we have some reason to believe that after he leaves San Augustin’s maximum-security prison, he may try to contact you.”
I felt numb, like I must not have heard the officer correctly.
Torin Reilly had killed our father and paid 10 years for it.
And now he would be out to collect what he had left behind.
Me.

I love this author's writing style. She writes taboo stories, passionate romances, very dramatic and extreme. She exalts the mutual dedication of lovers, whose passion burns brighter than the barriers of consanguinity and public opinion. The narrative conveys the writer's love for her protagonists, her authenticity seems convincing and admirable to me. They are as they are and make no excuses for what they feel, driven only by their all-consuming need to merge with the loved one. No matter how alien I am to this type of relationship, I respect the dramatic choices of those who love "despite...or against..." It is a good book, I would like to read the continuation of their romance, maybe I would like make sure they are well and that they endure surrounded by their mountains and genuine self-sacrifice😅🤓

Blood related brother and sister taboo story, it says horror romance but it wasn’t that bad and I read it all, I’ve read other mafia romances that were more horror than this was and had to DNF cause I can’t read gore and descriptive kills. It’s an obsessive brother with look at her/touch/ insult her and die tendencies. I did enjoy it and it’s not to long a read either. 😍🔥🔥
