Grizzly shifter Oskar Warden only wants to make it through the winter without starving, just like the rest of his friends in the shifter town of Bear Hollow. Just when Oskar thinks things can’t get any worse, an unexpected visit from one of the Gilt Hollow nobles forces him to choose between joining the Shifter Games or seeing his sister murdered before his eyes. With a heavy heart, Oskar agrees to join the Games, which will force him to fight like a feral animal merely for the entertainment of the full humans. Oskar has never felt more lonely in his life, until he discovers an underground resistance force, right in the middle of Gilt Hollow. And one of the people dedicated to resisting the dehumanization of shifters turns out to be none other than Zora Severson, the daughter of the most evil nobleman in Gilt Hollow.
