Josefina: My story isn’t sweet or easy to hear. It’s the truth. A brutal truth anyone you know could be living through right now. I’m the person people talk about, asking, “Why does she stay?”
My story will tell you why. It will tell you how it starts, where it leads. When does it end or will it ever?

This is a different side of love, a darker, and deadly side that isn’t always discussed. People think it can’t be love, that it starts with pain.
Trust me, it starts with love. A love that hurts.

Ridge: Because if love doesn’t hurt, it can’t be real.

This book takes you through the life of someone that was abused by there partner and you really get to feel and understand what she felt and went through. I could feel my self telling her to leave but she felt it was her fault. Really good book would definitely recommend. Easy read and really puts you in perspective of the victim, family, and abuser.1

This is a unique book. When you read a book there a times when you read the words domestic abuse, but they don't actually go into details. This is a book that really goes into details, it takes you from aww to what? to wtf? to crying with all the emotions. Hats of to the writer.
