By my reader’s popular request, I wrote a novella to tell you Ella Ross’ story. It is shorter than the other books in the series, because of my tight writing schedule. However, I know you will love this delightful tale.

Winter brings harsh tidings to Evander Macdonald’s life. His father, the current laird of Clan Macdonald, lies on his deathbed and has two requests for his son. First, Evander must take the helm as laird. Secondly, he must marry while his father is alive to witness the nuptials.
With the weight of the clan on his shoulders, Evander reluctantly accepts his duty and blindly agrees to marry a local woman. But his childhood friend – now an irresistible woman – has other plans.
After breaking her ankle, Ella Ross is stranded at the Macdonald keep for the winter. Her misfortune turns to opportunity when she hears that Evander, handsome and strong as ever, plans to marry the wrong woman to honor his father’s dying wish. Now Ella is on a mission to stop this mismatched marriage and prevent Evander from making the mistake of his life.
But the laird’s health is failing, and Ella must act quickly to help Evander fulfill his oath of marriage without throwing away his future.
