Drexel Davis has been in love with his best friend since before he knew what the word meant. However as the years have passed and no one (not even the best friend he’s been secretly in love with for years) has come forward claiming him as theirs he believes maybe he wasn’t meant to belong to someone that way and tries to find happiness elsewhere. Even if it means marrying someone he doesn’t love like he should.

A brush with death can be a wake-up call but will it be enough to spur these two into confessing the truths they hide, or will they go their separate ways making their happily ever after a happily ever never?
