I don’t want to be a princess… I want to fight too.
Bazel: All my life I’ve been treated with kid gloves, and I’m tired of it. I want to live up to the legacy of the proud Drixonian females with which I share half of my DNA. There’s one thing in my way—a young warrior who knows my secret and threatens to tell my father. So I make a deal with him, and soon his annoying presence at my side changes into something more…
Trapt: From the first moment I see Bazel, my entire world changes. The sun rises and sets with her. I can never be her equal—her father would never allow it—but I’ll do what I can to keep her safe from the enemies closing around our borders. Even if that means teaching her everything I know. Even if that means risking everything.

The end of the series! Bazel is the human hybrid child from the first couple at the start of the series and now we see her grown up and in her own story. One issue I had: Bazel said that she saw how the loss of her father's first Drixonian mate by the virus still affected him but I read Tark and Anna's book and I'm pretty sure he did not have a previous mate. I'll go re-read but I remember he was a virgin when he met Anna. It kinda ruins her parents book because Anna is sort of now a consolation prize and not his real fated mate who died.

This story though, Bazel and Trapt, pretty much follows what you expect for this series. It's a sweet and comfortable end to a series I've enjoyed following for a few years.
