This was Book 2 of the Princess series, and it picked up much faster than the first and didn't slow down until the end. King Karim was the cousin to King Roman of Book 1. It was hot, sweet, and OTT in every way. It was a bit too fast, but hey, it worked. It had more angst and drama than the first book, but it also had a bit more humor. The FMC was a bit on the ditzy side for a princess, but I guess that went along with being a girl who had sheltered and kept from the public for most of her life. I'm not sure how the author swung the idea of a king abdicating his throne to his son and basically becoming a hermit in the country...or how the queen mother didn't live with the king and his daughter because she preferred the limelight, but I guess that's fiction for you, huh? Once again, the author had the king addressed as "Your Highness" rather than "Your Majesty", which is quite irksome. But other than a few minor grammatical errors, it was a decent story.
